Our Approach to Investment Management

We help clients, both individuals and families, reach their financial goals. First, we work together to develop an investment plan covering investment objectives, time frames, risk tolerance, and asset allocation strategies. We then implement this plan through selection of individual investments such as cash, municipal and corporate bonds, mutual funds, and company common shares.

Selections are based on research of quality companies, with your interests and needs in mind. We agree on each investment, and you approve every trade before it is booked.

We provide periodic reviews and progress reports. These are at least quarterly, and more often as necessary.

We are an independent investment adviser using Charles Schwab & Co. as custodian and broker. We are not affiliated with any full service brokerage or insurance company so we can help you create a fully objective investment plan. We work with a small number of clients in order to devote the necessary time to each one.

We keep information completely confidential.

How We Work Together

Initial discussion. We meet to talk about your situation, goals, plans, risk tolerance, and concerns. We review your existing investments. This is the basis for our analysis and investment planning. The initial meeting and discussions are absolutely free.

Preparation of an investment review and plan. If you so authorize, we prepare a written review of existing investments, and an investment plan. We meet again to discuss the plan. We answer all your questions, and the plan is yours.

Investment Management. If you decide to engage Piedmont Street Management to implement the investment plan, then we agree on the services and terms at this time.
